Day 2

Day 2 began at around 9am, waking up in leo Scahill's field at the foot of crough patrick was a sight to behold. After a lovely breakfast provided by Leo 5(Simon,Bob,Mark,Shane,and Michael) of us made our way towards Achill island. Passin through Westport, Newport, and Mulranny as well as lots of little villages on the way we hit Achill sound at about 12pm. We were only to spend an hour or 2 exploring the island, but we got awfully carried away and spent nearly 5 hours covering every inch of what is a beautiful and picturesque island. As you can see from the photo album we missed nothing. So with a heavy heart and the sun on our backs we made a hasty journey towards our digs near ballina. Passing through Ballycroy we got a lovely view of Blacksod bay another beauty spot for the budding tourist. we continued on through Bangor erris, Bunnahowen, Belmullet, Barnatra, Glenamoy, Ballycastle, Killala and pitched our tents in the Belleck camp site on the outskirts of Ballina. Michael departed from us at this stage, many thanks to him for his support. the camp site was very well put together with every thing we needed for a restful evening and night, many thanks to the owners....
