Day6
It started off a tad slow with the intensions of going back up to the most northerly pub in Ireland, but because we were nursing a bit of a sore head we totally forgot about it. Maybe just as well as Shane would be making the long hall back to Galway- at a guess it was about 200 miles!!!!
On the road at about 11 o clock this morning. We were to meet Ronnie from the dog leap at 12 in a town called Monville; we'd no sooner ordered coffee there when Ronnie, his young lad and Sean arrived. Of course it was cameras out and another photo shoot!!!! Dex had been keeping a low profile-after his drunken rowdiness last night he was feeling a little more delicate than the resrt of us but of course once Ronnie spotted him he had to fall in for pics aswell. {good old dex- he is making the trip}
Suited and booted we headed off down the road towards a town called Muff- no jokes please, hehehehe!!!!
Last fuel stop and then we headed over the boarder to Derry. At this point Shane headed of towards Donegal and on to Galway...I'd like to think he had a fab time, especially as this trip is something else, with the 4 of us have a cracking time. Dex is a bit lost and down in the dumps without Shane, but i'm sure they'll enjoy catching up over pints when we get back to Galway!!!
So on we went with the lads from Dogleap for another 20 miles or so. Up to Limavady to Seans place for some tea and sandwiches .{damn nice too} after a while you get sick of tea from filling stations and vacuumed packed style sandwiches. We had no sooner finished our tea when it was back out with the cameras; photos all round again {but that’s what this is all about}
Cheers to Ronnie and the lads…
On the road again and off we go up to Magilligan, Portstewart, Portrush ,and on to the Giant's Causeway. Of course we couldn't just drive by and not take the time to investigate and yes-take more photos. So we paid our £2 for parking and then walked about half a mile to see what all the fuss is about, that was the longest, hardest and hottest half mile as we had to haul our cameras, helmets, bike gear, etc that distance{the ulster fryes are long gone} to see the Causeway-wow it is something else the only thing that spoiled it was the fact that we had to haul all the gear back up a very large hill!!!
Drowned from our walk; and it wasn't from the rain...we decided to find home which we did about 10 minutes from the causeway...Ballyness Caravan Park and it is a dam nice place may I add- hot showers, internet, washer/dryers, Mark got all domesticated and decided to do the laundry(lucky the woamn who gets him!!!!)...It cost him about £12-not the caravan park's fault- just he kept putting the money in the wrong slot.(maybe she won't be that lucky after all!!!) MORE ROADS TOMORROW
